"It's like, anarchist christmas"

Although I've never been involved outside of the kid stuff, the anarchist bookfair is one of those yearly events that mark the passing of time and serve as a yearly check-in with folks who I would otherwise rarely see despite being generally fond of them. There are also little patterns that I mark -- like how amazing their kids programs have gotten over the years, and how many more kids there seem to be every year.

It also seems like it's the weekend where someone I know announces a pregnancy every year.

And this year it's me! Last year I was post-call and nauseated after an interesting and exhausting night in Ob/gyn, and had just decided to start trying for a spawnlet. This year i was just nauseated. And glad that it was sunny, my nose could not have handled a bajillion wet anarchists in a big gym.

I don't have a lot more to say on the topic yet. But I will be finding out more about:

1. the increased risk of preterm labour and obstetric complications among medical residents. (Medicine continues to be bad for my health)

2. WTF is with maternity clothes? MamaM and I dropped in at w@lm@rt the other day, thinking I could pick up some pants so that I could give hers back. The horror! I had been thinking that I may not be so into the bib-overalls thing. But having seen the alternatives, I will reconsider.

I'm a little choked up that it may be our last bookfair, and that we're leaving, and that we've made the questionable decision to move during someone's first trimester. Again.

LittleE said the other day: "I feel sad about moving to our new house. I also feel a little bit excited. Those are my feelings about moving."

yeah.
