The lot of us drove out to toronto for the weekend, a road which gets longer with children. We got to see some friends/extended/chosen family, a tour of the
school i wish i'd gone to, and went to Denise's seder supper.
cute toddler highlights of the evening included:
1) Above froggy outfit
2) "Matzoh-food!?!? Where are you matzoh-food?? Oh there you are matzoh-food! Hooray!"
3) a squeaky falsetto from underneath the table "dayeinuooooooo"

We also got to play with old high school friends who live with a similarly blond toddler, and who also have a living room stuffed with brightly coloured plastic and adoring photos. And had a lovely and civilized supper with a pleasant and interesting adult who was a blond toddler what seems like a second ago.
But we didn't get to see everyone we wanted to see due to a poorly timed gastro-business which kept us all up for a night, and laundry enough for the next day. Fortunately, MamaM and i were fine, but little-kid hurl is not to be underestimated as baby spit-up. I feel as though we've had some parent rite-of-passage.
So, we'll have to go back, and reconnect with those we couldn't see. soonsoonsoon.
