Radiology
This week has been. . . short. Here's my take on the specialty anyway.
1. I haven't had to dress up.
2. Radiologists get to sit down.
3. You get to figure things out.
However,
4. it's been nice outside, and i've been sitting in the dark
5. i don't even notice leftovers in my own refrigerator. Fractured what?
And i did learn a few things:
How to look at pictures to maximise the chance of seeing. Abdominal air, large tumors, gross dislocations, compound fractures, medical hardware, and foreign bodies are likely to be detected by yours truly.
And on the topic of foreign bodies: when it comes to anal play the FLARED BASE is key. Ignoring this wisdom risks you being the object of mockery by radiologists and their students until time immemorial. They will save your x-rays, collect them, and bring them out for entertainment during long days in the dark.
they especially do this if you lie about how "that thing" got "up there".

Did you know that Octavia Butler died about 2 months ago!! You should really come hang out on the robin hobb news group - you'd like it there.

Weird that you should mention her . . . I just finished reading _Kindred_ which is apparently her best known book - and the first thing i've read in months. I did know that she'd died suddenly, and i should go check out your Robin Hobb thing anyway!
