Kitchen floor field guide
The spawn is getting to an age where I am starting feel weird writing about him on the internet, but I still want to share the awesome. So we wrote a story.

This is the Frilled Turtle. It is one of the smallest species of turtle. When it feels threatened it raises its frill so that it looks fierce. It is a little one, and this one is a female. It feeds on ants and termites and ant lions. Ants and termites and ant lions are the only animals that it feeds on. That's the story. We have made a story.

LittleM seems to be doing all the things that the book says babies should do. She also has some serious forward mobility. We wanted to wait and offer her solids for the first time among family (because I think that eating is a social event and I wish more of the people who love her could see her firsts.) But she's active and small, and so small that she has a 'failure to thrive' diagnosis looming. So we decided bulking up was in order.

And on a diet of dandilions and brother, I'm sure she'll pork up quickly.
