Returning!

I started Surgery for real this morning. and so far it looks as though i've happily underestimated the demands of it this month. There are a lot of surgeons on vacation, and more students/residents than patients. I showed up this morning, got my locker and ID tag, peered at the computer, met a few patients . . . then evening rounds was at 1pm, and i went home to sleep for two hours.

I know it won't be like this all month, but today was a nice gentle introduction.

I'm very happy that i'm home, and get my hugs and smiles when the rest of the team gets back to montreal tonight!
