Little E turned 2 today!

Here are a few (awful) pictures from his party on sunday. preschoolers can achieve a level of ecstatic celebratory . . . whatever - that is never again really attainable. Also, is exhausting.
The kid downstairs had a 3rd birthday party on saturday as well. which meant that the two of them basically had two days of unlimited sugar, screeching, and running the hallways. It was gluttony at its cutest.
I'm sad that i didn't get any good photos of him. but you can use your imaginations to visualise all his blond goodness in sparkly bead necklaces, a sparkly party hat covered in stickers, in green lederhosen and tights, with his belly button showing, jumping around and yelling "Hooray for Gay!!"
And hooray for all of the people who are putting themselves out there to create queer family. thanks for crashing at our house, "eating gooks", borrowing the car, making us feel like rock stars by mentioning us in your blogs, doing dinner on short notice, letting us drop LittleE off at your place while MamaM and i work or watch a movie, and having a real relationship with LittleE independent of legal or biological conventions.
If these last two years (and then some) were a movie, the credits would run really long.

Hooray for gay!
I had a great time with the three of you this weekend. Thank you all so much for being so cool. Whenever we're over, I have such fun with LittleE it seems like almost an afterthought that occupying his attention has the effect of allowing his mamas to have a breather :)
Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of person he becomes in his third year.
